A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to the Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi!
Visitors, Sisters, Parents, Alumnae, and Prospective New Members,
I am incredibly fortunate to be the first to invite you to take a glimpse at life as an Alpha Phi, as Chapter President! In 1872, Alpha Phi was first founded at Syracuse University. Within just 154 years, we are deeply honored to share our sisterhood amongst 164 collegiate chapters across the nation. Together as sisters, we are dedicated to a simple mission: supporting one another in lifelong achievement, always. Since 2008, our Iota Lambda chapter at the University of Connecticut has fostered an extraordinary bond within our university community while continuing to prosper in our unwavering commitment to each other.
As soon as I stepped foot in Alpha Phi, I was confident I had found my home. From the moment the doors of our house opened, I was welcomed with open arms and wide smiles of the women I now call my sisters. During my undergraduate years, I know I am surrounded by numerous resources and familiar faces to guide me through my journey even after my time at the University of Connecticut comes to a close. In just three semesters, I have been given the opportunity to find lifelong friendships and memories that will remain near and dear to my heart for the rest of my life.
There are simply not enough words to express my infallible gratitude for this chapter so instead, I welcome you to explore our page to see for yourself some of my personal favorite parts of being an Alpha Phi. Serving as Chapter President is an honor I do not plan to take lightly and cannot imagine this term coming to an end. Until then, however, I am eager to savor each and every day, surrounded by almost 180 incredible women as I do so!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or even just to say hello, at aphiuconnpresident@gmail.com.
AOE,
Autumn Buzderewicz Caniff
